Sayara Beg - the silly beggars back!

The BBC website seems to want to tout this womans so called debt problems as typical! She admitts to being asset rich but cash poor and owns a BTL porfolio. I don't see much of that here? What I do see is people with genuine debt problems trying to sort them out, for which you can only be commended!

I urge you to complain to the BBC and ask them to highlight the problems of the typical DFW

You can read her latest diary entry here.

Anyone who uses the expression " insert word rich and insert another word poor" should be shot anyway.
    Happy chappy
  • "in law a contract is a contract and if you have signed it then you are bound by it".

Precisely. If contracts for loans, etc went out of the window because someone decided to have a baby, you can just imagine what would happen.

I hate the way she tries to portray herself as a victim - "my stitches were uncomfortable," etc.

    Pathetic.

Yes but "more normal" DFW might be either less interesting or, how can I word this, more upsetting. Either the BBC wouldn't want to write about it or they think the public wouldn't read it.

Then again, what is a "typical" DFW?

"The past three months have demonstrated that updating my creditors of my situation has not really helped me and has just cost me more money than I would like to spend".

I agree with tax mans cash machine, until she takes reposnsibiity for her own behaviour then nothins gonna change. You cant blame your creditors for all of it !!!!!!, Im a bit sad that the BBC is using the license fee to bankroll her and her advice.

    Debt-free and Proud!
SHe doesn;t say how much she owes, and there's no SOA or spending diary! She sounds like a silly fool who wants to shirk her responsibilities by saying 'i'm pregnant' 'i have a baby', but she planned to have the baby !!!!!!! Ridiculous, and yes, I agree it could be dangerous. Where's her sense of responsibility? THis is why I dislike the BBC website - it is lazy journalism with no responsibility or sense of duty, which is to inform, not provide voyeristic entertainment.

She has "allegedly" £97,000 of equity in her two BTL's So how can she have a debt diary?
