Fed up with Korma - looking for mild curries in Manchester

I live in Manchester and the number of Indian restaurants and buffets are limitless, yet every time I go to one there are the same options, either a curry that numbs my mouth, and is positively painful, or sloppy, milky yellow stuff that is so sweet it could be a desert.

I love spicy Greek, Armenian, Turkish food so spices in general I love, especially garlic.

Does anyone out there know of any authentic Indian restaurants in or around Manchester that go easy on the Chillies...because I’m fed up with Korma!!

I would recommend Akbar, think its lovely. I know you say you are fed up of Korma but try one of theirs, they are really creamy and to die for. I can't stand Korma but love theirs. They do Baltis, bhunas etc which are defo worth a try too x

I've been to Akbar's even the Onion Bhagi was hot!! They made me a special mild dish, and it was another sweet, milky, bland formula!! Live in North Manchester and been down the curry mile many times, all very much the same. Used to like Nawab buffet, but they have changed their choices, and most of them are now too hot.

I can recommend Indigo in Romiley it is the best Indian ever been to. They will cook every sauce to your specification. Other restaurants really rate:-
