I wouldn't touch PC World for anything, They try to fob you off with rubbish reasons why you shouldn't return a faulty item to them and go direct to manufacturer. Heard Lies like that brand does their own returns direct etc. Total lies and trying to get out of doing their legal obligation under the sales of goods act.
I would second Dell for quality vs Price. I have a Studio and its had no problems ever. Still looks as new as when I bought it last year and I have had it running at least 5 hrs a day
PCWorld Sell the Dell Studio....
If it's a faulty printer like a kodak/epson etc...(apart from HP)..then yes..the repairs/exchanges are dealt with through the manufacturer..The store can do it on your behalf if you ask..but for speed...do it yourself..It's not hard to pick up a phone and call them...Never had a problem calling the manufacturers myself to get stuff sorted...
If it's a faulty laptop/desktop...PCworld have a dedicated helpline to get these booked in for you..Again, you can request that the store does it on your behalf but it is quicker if you do it yourself because all jobs would go into a booked in queue...as with anywhere..
TomTom's are dealt with through tomtom
Small peripherals are swapped in store ie: Hard drives/printer inks/cd drives/graphics cards etc...
PCWorld offer their customers a 28 day return policy whereas most others only offer 14 days...
I don't work for them and never have, but they aren't a bad company to trade with..you just need to read what they print..0 -
