hi
I am looking for a laptop. It will be used it for general internet use, and to play games such as rome total war/simsunivesity/age of mythology.
I have up to £500 to spend. Any advice would be appreciated. I dont really know where to start looking.

I'm afraid I don't know if any of the sub £500 models would be suitable for playing your games.

I have looked at the link and am not really any wiser.
What I probably need to know is what amount of memory and what kind of graphics card to look out for. Any ideasNice to save.0 -
I would have a look at www.notebookreview.com forums, they are very useful people there who will give you ideas on what you can purchase."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

Most laptops are not good for playing games.
Unfortunately, if the titles you mentioned will run on a sub £500 laptop, it won't be very well.
You would be looking at least 1Gb of RAM. For the Video card, you need a dedicated not integrated card. You would be looking at something like at least Nvidia's GeForce Go 6200/6400 or ATI Mobility Radeon X600 which are the lowest spec you can probably get away with. Even these are still going to cost you the best part of a grand. Ideally you should look at ATI Mobility Radeon X1600/X1800 or nVidia GeForce Go 7600/7800/7900, these you would be looking at over a grand.0
