Declined Car Insurance... Am I in the poop??

Hello,
I moved house, and comming up to renewal in 2 weeks my car insurance Co Zurich can't find my new address and so cannot insure me!
Now looking else where... via moneysupermarket found AXA Insurance to be a good deal, not the cheapest (Elephant, Admiral and Diamond as Havn't heard great things abut their policies) However upon applying I was declined without being offered a reason.
I assume I now have to declare that I've been declined, and that now I'm absolutely screwed (as having only got my licence under 3 years ago, my oremiums are now as cheap as most).
Any advice or guidence would really be appreciated as I'm at the point of tears. I cannot afford much as I'm saving for tuition fees.
I even thought of selling my car and getting a cheaper one but already have a 206!
Thanks all!

Get the ref number call and ask why they declined, before getting into a panic.0

I have found out that it is because I have only 1 year NCD and AXA only insure over 2 years NCD0

You can safely forget about this then. It's not a "declareable" decline, you simply are not in their profile (and couldn't meet their minimum assumptions)0

PHEW!! Thank you!0

P.S. I say phew, however this leaves me with affordable options with elephant, admiral or diamond... ho hum! next year fingers crossed0

I work for a fairly large insurance company and the underwriters in my experience only want to know about if you have had an insurance policy voided for non disclosure of cancelled for another reason. If you don't meet the criteria and they won't insure you then it doesn't count.:)0 -
I've actually had policies cancelled on me mid term twice now and although I declare it, it has never been a problem.
(The first time was that the insurer didn't like my proposed new car and the second was that I had certain performance modifications fitted. Both times it took me out of the insurer's general parameters and they ended the cover there and then)0
