Your free FZS175P - DDC Edition 60cm Hotpoint Upright Freezer is on its way

Your new freezer will form part of the Dynamic Demand technology that helps to reduce the UK carbon dioxide emissions by responding to changes on the national grid. The freezer will know if the grid has too much electricity in the system and switch on to increase demand or if there is too little electricity, switch off to reduce demand - in both cases helping to balance the grid.

In a first for British homes, RLtec, with funding provided by npower, are conducting a wide ranging trial, which will demonstrate the potential to reduce the nation's carbon dioxide emissions through dynamic demand freezer technology. We believe that this is the biggest trial of 'smart appliances' in Europe.

As part of this trial you have been selected to receive a FZS175P - DDC Edition 60cm Hotpoint Upright Freezer, which you'll be able to keep at the end of the trial as long as you've kept to the terms and conditions of the trial agreement.

Your terms and conditions are attached along with a guide to the trial that should have all the information you need, and Indesit will be in touch soon about the delivery of your freezer and dynamic demand technology. Tried to ring em all day as I was one of the first selected about 18 months ago. No joy. Can't get through.

Fed up as we would have bought a replacement freezer by now but keep hanging on just in case!!

I had an email and a missed called from Hotpoint about arranging delivery date for the freestanding freezer. I think I am going to cancel it as I really wanted a fridge freezer.
