Any luxury hotel offers in North East?

I am after a luxury break with my hubby in the North East/Yorkshire area. The standard i am after is like the Rockcliffe at Darlington http://www.rockliffehall.com/rooms/double_rooms

but ideally without the price tag £200 for one night DBB (or the same price for two nights!). I know i don't want much but has anyone seen any good offers around. Will do mid week if cheaper...

Thanks

I havent checked their website myself yet, but was told today that the Copthorne chain was doing an offer £50 a night bed, breakfast and dinner. Dont know how true that is.

Off hand I know there is a copthorne in Newcastle on the Quayside.

How about Lumley Castle. They have some offers on their website at the moment.
  • Many thanks for your suggestions. Redworth Hall looks nice but trip advisor reviews are a little mixed. Need somewhere not in city centre location as i have promised hubby won't drag him round the shops!! Will take a look at Lumley, although the Rockcliffe looks fab..........

I think if you have a car and you want to be at a lovely hotel with great rooms I would go to langley castle

We stayed in the percy room I would have went for the Derwentwater Room but there was a wedding going on when we went

The chapel on the castle roof is really nice and they have the most lovely lounge with roaring log fire to wait in while waiting to be shown to dinner

Seaham Hall is lovely for luxury too but not sure on offers at the moment. Worth a look around if you fancy that.

Also have a look at the Feversham Arms - that gets a lot of good reviews.
  • hi I am still looking unfortunately! Decided on just one night (this saturday) and want a DBB deal in a nice hotel/inn not city centre location, just somewhere to chill. Are there any hotel search engines where i can populate for DBB as a search option??
