Yes, as long as you leave a gap (6 months - 1 year).

However recently some have reported being refused if they just used the card previously for the 0% offer then closed it. It remains to be seen if this becomes more widespread.

Mint will automatically refuse an application from anyone who was a customer in the last eight months.

I understand Nationwide will accept you as a new customer but you are only ever offered any special offers available to new customers once.

I think Egg is 6 months.

    No relevant experience of others.

Halifax - even if you already have a card, you can probably get another card, and get the introductory offer on the new card. So I don't see how cancelling cards would make much difference.

If you have closed all your accounts with any particular credit card provider, then I think there are legal limits on how long they can hold your details anyway.

And even if there aren't - it costs money to store data about people. Sooner or later, you will be like a totally new customer to them anyway.

It varies from provider to provider

But generally, most require anywhere between 6 to 9 months before you can apply again.

One thing Ive not tested yet, is calling them to cancel a card every month, and seeing what offer they give to keep the card, i.e. if the offers rubbish, you change your mind and call again in a months time and see what they offer, maybe eventually you will get that elusive repeat 0% :D
