changing gas & electric suppliers
Hi
Can anyone give some advice, I am with British gas and southern electric, i want to change to one supplier, I have been on the comparison sites, they give the best option as eon saveonline v2, my yearly gas bills are approx £900 and electric is approx £1100, are eon ok or is there a better
option?
Thanks

If the comparison site suggests they are the cheapest, you probably won't find cheaper.Hi

Try double checking by using another comparison site. If it gives exactly the same result, it's probably correct

Is there a connection between "L.S.D." and an £1100 electricity bill (on top of gas)? I thought it was only cannabis farms that required lots of power. Red lights and hair driers are more power hungry than I thought.0

Ho ho ho. You don't know what L.S.D. is? Well it means Pounds shillings & pence. Money saving expert & all that.
Here. L.S.D.Nice to save.0 -
Oh, libra denarius et al. That LSD.
Anyway, the good news is that with that high an electricity consumption there are often bargains to be had - don't forget to look under the single fuel tabs on the results page as you may well find single fuel tariffs from separate suppliers may outweigh dual fuel discounts. The best dual fuel tariff will probably be cheaper, though. And with that high a consumption you will probably find it affordable to pay early leaving penalties and switch again if a suitable new bargain tariff appears.0 -
Thanks for your replys, i was a little surprised the electric was so high, i expected the gas was going to be more. If i go through quidco will i get
the £24 cash back from confused and the £55 cash back from Eon?Nice to save.0 -
Hi L.S.D - As other replies have pointed out, with Elec. consumption that high, you may better off forgetting Dual Fuel and having different suppliers for Gas & Elec.
But an £1100 annual Elec bill is so high for a dwelling with Gas CH & HW it's off the scale, particularly when your gas bill is middle-average.
You may be well aware why you use so much elec., but if not post your annual use in Kwh and the appliaces you have for help0
