Old gas pipe

Options
Hi Guy

Whilst moving cupboards in our utility room I noticed an old blanked off gas pipe, I dont think its connected as we have a new supply coming into the house.

Now, can i turn off the gas to be safe and cut it back and blank it off closer to the wall as its in the way of the new cupboards.

Cheers
John

john, if you have to ask that question then you are clearly not competant to do the job you are enquiring about, please either leave it alone or get a qualified gas engineer to sort it out for you, or risk blowing up your house!

Thanks for the advice kaya, how much do you think it should cost to cut back and cap?
