Key worker v social worker

Hiya we have a meeting next week as its been requsested that we need a key worker.
We have no social worker but got told to ring ss if need help in mean time as things are hard at the moment.
What is a key worker and can you have a sw and key worker, we are reluctant to ring ss. Now as could jepodise our key worker allocation?
Hoping that if get this keyworker (find out aug 2nd) she can help with a CAF for the boys

Its all so confusing if honest I'm not well up with all of this, all I know I'd having 4 out of 5 special needs, 3 asd and adhd its getting harder to control and we need something now
Thanks

In this context, the keyworker is probably the 'lead professional' - someone who coordinates the actions from the CAF. It could be a social worker but may not be. I'm sure you already have some information about the CAF but if not:

Your social worker can be your key worker. CAF have to stand down if a SW is involved.
