  • \50 a month for phone, internet, sky inc movies and sports? your dreaming

Best i did was for £70 a month, phone, digital tv with sports and movies (all) and fast broadband (4mb) with 512upload (or was it 256 hmm...)

This was with NTL who offer student 9 month contracts during freshers week.

  • you could just get a freeview box for the really really moneysaving option?! ;)
    :happyhear
  • ditch the phone (not really necessary as most people have mobiles) if you can go through NTL we just managed to haggle them down to £10/month for 10mbit internet and give us £55 towards a router which leaves you £40 for a decent package.

The way we got the internet was to sign up and after a week or so phone up saying we wanted to cancel as sky broadband was going to be £10/month for 16mbit so they cut their rates

If you are in a Telewest area there is a £30 phone/internet/tv package, you will have to pay extra for movies and sports, do you really need those channels though, are you moving into your first student house or something?

Telewest also have a student offer which lets you pay £5/monthduring the holidays for not having any service instead of paying the full amount.

If you do sign up online to either sky or telewest make sure you go through quidco as you will get £50 for sky or £40 for telewest!

if you use your mobile instead of getting a phone package then you could get skys top tv package at 42.50 a month which you get free broadband with, and get £50 cash back throught quidco
