Can you put a smile on a child's face?
Post Pals is an amazing charity that brings smiles to sick children's faces and to their siblings who are often struggling to cope with what is going on.
Could you send 2 pieces of post a month to a child? It could be a letter with news about what you've been doing, a picture from your child or a small gift.
If you would like to support this fantastic charity and raise a smile please email

I sent a Toy Story parcel to one child last week, and this morning received a thank you card. It moved me to tears.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

Just to bump up and say that you don't have to commit to anything if you don't want to. Just pop onto www.postpals.co.uk and find a pal or a sibling you would like to send a card or letter to, maybe a gift you have lying around the house or have picked up from a bargain, and send it to their address on their page. The two pieces of post a month is for those posties who feel they can commit to mailing to the same child/ren every couple of weeks.
With the kids off school at the moment why don't you get them to draw a picture or make a card for one of the children, keeps them busy for a few minutes and makes an ill child smile.
Thank you if you do decide to send someything, anything, the children and their parents do appreciate it :beer:0 -
I think this site is fab, such a simple yet brill idea. I often write to the pals on there. I had alovely letter back the other day. Maybe a few people could buy an extra little christmas gift to send off. Doesn't have to be expensive just something small.0
