the docs letter i included stated that i was in pain all of the time and felt that 50 meters is as far as i can walk
Can't you get the high rate of mobility if you can only walk 50 metres? Might be worth a try for that because then I think you will qualify for a blue badge too.Only 3% of those registered blind in the UK have zero vision.0 -

Shes alreasy trying to get it but from her posts she dosnt have a chance, the 50m is a rare flare up and not her normal distance which is more than likely what the doctor wrote and why shes been declined.
Im hopeful that more areas will stop giving BBs to people who dont need them so that people who really need BB bays can park more easily.0 -
If you are refused a Blue Badge
You cannot appeal against the council if it decides that you do not qualify for a Blue Badge.
You may ask the council to reconsider the case if you think that not all the important information was taken into consideration at the assessment. You can also ask the council to look at their decision again if you feel that your mobility problems have become more serious since the assessment.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

i'm registered blind and so am entitled to a blue badge. i havent applied for one as i have no difficulty with walking (just where i am walking!)
i do find my entitlement rather odd as i only need supervision......i could understand the possibility of being near where i need to be if i was alone..........but i dont really think its in anyones interest for me to learn to drive lol0 -

I think for blind people it's more of a safety thing. Ok, you'll always be with someone, but would you always be right next to them when crossing the car park?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
