hmmm i am gona find how much to cancel and take out a new policy with some one else
You will have to pay cancellation fees and high rates for the short time on cover. What a joke the world we live in
I am really genuinely suprised that anyone would move house and run a car without £100 spare.
What will you do if you get a puncture, have an accident?
You need to do some financial planning, budgetting and get an emergency fund.
If you can't afford it then find other transport and get rid of the car or move somwhere you can afford.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it's a reality for ALL of us.
Even if we have good incomes, we still have to live withing our means.0 -
I have been dealing with renewing my mum's car insurance (Co-Op), when I said that I wanted to remove my Dad as named driver, they wanted to charge an additional £20 as they give a discount if you have your spouse on the insurance! We left him on!"Hope for the Best
Prepare for the worst"0 -
Ok i had better tell the whole story. I am a full time carer for my wife who is blind, asmatic, epileptic and a broken foot that has not healed. we also have a 2 1/2 year old as well. We did not want to move but the landlord could get another £200 a month in rent from some one else and our benifits could not cover it. We could not move into any old house/flat as we needed a garden for the guide dog, walking distance to her mums and dads as they are also disabled, shower becasue of the eplepsy. So as you can see it was not a strait forward move and to find a place to suit our needed it was hard, we was homless and living 3 diffrent places for 9 days. So we saved enough up to move which aint cheap aka- £400 letting fees, van to move 2 times £140, storage fees £60, and the 1st months rent. so to have a spare £100 can be quiet hard to come by atm. This aint a rant or anything i just thought i give you all the facts. Also getting rid of the car aint a option either as i am the only 1 that can drive out of her family. so, i will have to see wht i can do, thank all for the help i think i will have to get a credit card or a small loan to pay for it.0

Is she entitled to a car under motobility?
I am pretty sure the person who is disabled does not have to be the driver.
I say this as my mum and aunt both have cars but both are driven by another family member.0 -
she aint on higher rate mobilty cz she dont have 2 Major disablitys so we dont get it.0

Make sure you check out the costs of cancelling before doing so.
You are likely to face a cancellation fee and pay more for the cover you've had as it's heavily discounted for taking 12 months cover.
Sorry that's not what you want to here, but you need to check first before going ahead and it may not be cheaper to do that.0
