Gas & Electric for 1 bed flat
little brother has just moved into his first flat
1 bed, lounge, kitchen and bathroom
Gas central heating/hot water
Gas cooker
fridge freezer
Telly, computer, stereo, lamps
and that's it!!! No washing machine/tumble drier (mums still doing that - won't do mine though!!!)
He's out during the day
He's with scottish power at the moment and I want to check if he can get cheaper but no idea how much gas and electric above flat will use
Any ideas kindly MSEers?
Many thanks

Until he gets some idea of his annual consumption it is not possible to give an accurate answer.
However, as he will probably be a low user, Ebico(who charge just one flat rate and no standing charge) will be amongst the cheapest.
The best thing he can do is estimate his consumption at at say, 2000 kWh for electricity and 15,000 kWh for gas and enter them in the comparison sites.0 -
Yes I would agree. Check out https://www.ebico.co.uk and then check on the comparison sights (https://www.energyhelpline.co.uk etc) to see if you can do any better. If not ebico would be my choice.0

Thank you - I'll try your suggestions
