npower stuffed up my switch
and put me on the standard tarriff
anyway, i called them today and they offered me to either re-calc my account from the start (1 month ago) on sign online 18 OR switch it over to sign online 19 from today - meaning the i'd pay one month at the standard rate.
I dont know my consumption but think its reasonably high £140 ish per month dual fuel on my old deal at scottish power.
The two rates are constructed differently and its difficult to know which is best - so does anyone reading this know which rate is generally the better deal?
many thanks

No way to tell other than doing the sums.
Use uswitch (or whichever) to find out the figures for SOL18 as current tariff and look up SOL19 in the results table. Then check manually using only last month's lower (not one twelfth of annual) useage.
AFIK SOL18 is cheaper (fractionally) but I think you will be talking under a tenner's difference. I think you should choose the SOL18 option.0
