Tiny holes in harvested potatoes

I've had to harvest a whole row of potatoes because the slugs or worms were starting to attack. Most of them have little deep holes and one or two where completey munched or I could see little critters crawling about inside! I threw those ones away, but I'm still left with a massive bag full of tiny holed pots!!

I'm not sure if its possible to salvage them or store them like this? I really don't want to throw them away as I'm sure 95% of the flesh is ok and edible once the holes are cut out... but I don't want to eat mash or chips for the next two weeks!!

Any suggestions about what I can do or should I post this on the old style thread and get some ideas for potatoe dishes I can freeze!?

My Oh suggested soaking them in water to kill/rinse out any critters, dry them and then store them. Would this work?

thanks

Had the same problem with lots of damaged spuds. If you plan to store veg then its only the unblemished veg that will keep. Of the spuds segregated due to damage we made extra stews and froze them. But a few of the spuds had quickly rotted, maybe due to pest damage but possibly unnoticed blight.

Personally I'd go for the OS route, I havent found washing spuds helps their shelf life one bit :(

All the ones that look damaged, peel, blanch in chip or sliced shapes, and freeze. Easiest way if you have the space.
