Halifax want to upgrade my basic account

I have a basic bank account with Halifax which I have had for 2 years with no problems everytime i go into the bank they bug me to upgrade to a real bank account

i have a bad credit rating and i do not want an overdraft so is there any point? I am sure they credit check you?

    Just ignore them, they only want to do this because they can try and sell you the Ultimate Reward Account or Credit Cards.

    I remember them pestering me saying my account was pretty much useless! I didn't care as I had a student account at the time

    If you have a bad credit rating theres no point its just a sale pitch to try and sell you stuff.

    If you went ahead youd only be wasting your time if your credit history is adverse as you most likely be declined anyway.
