New ipod, new computer, how to transfer music?

Hello, I'm not very good with techie stuff so wondered if someone could give me advice please. Last week I got a new ipod, i registered it on itunes and put some cds onto it. Most of my music is in Itunes on my old laptop and I woud like to transfer it onto this one. Google was confusing me with talks of buying programs to do it and all that! What is the easiest way of doing so? Thanks ever so much x:j

Use the backup facility in in itunes to back your old library onto DVD/CD.
De authorise your account on the old PC.
Then restore the library onto your new PC.
    No need for external programmes.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
