if you stab and wrap in foil and bake until soft
take out of oven and cool completely , freeze in the foil.
when you want to use them, place in oven from frozen out of the foil, the insides actually fluff up very nicely and the skins colour and crisp as if you have just cooked from fresh
some varieties bake better than others ... hence the different results, whether fresh or frozen0
