purple bridemaid dresses with purple shoes

hi all

i am having 3 bridemaids, who i want in purple dresses

they are having mostly ivory flowers with a few purple- opposite to me---

would purple shoes be too much, or would that be ok?

Wouldn't silver or gold strappy heeled sandals be cheaper? Plus they would be able to wear them again.

My bridesmaids are also wearing purple, I am having them wear silver shoes of their own choosing. Two of them already have silver shoes from other weddings, one has foot issues and my sister is 19 and goes to formals all the time.

I think matchy matchy weddings are outdated, also they can re-wear neutral shoes way more than purple shoes.

If you can get the shoes in the right colour to match the dresses, it'd be fine, i'm having a purple bridesmaid but she's going for ivory shoes, i want purple shoes but can't find any with a small enough heel cheap enough.

Don't see why not. I've just done a wedding with purple bridesmaids. They had silver. Can't see why purple won't go. x

Of course they can, but silver or gold would get worn more I imagine so would be better value for money.

Depends what kind of shoes they are too, if they are proper bridesmaid shoes (the satin ones), then I'd wear them if I were a bridemaid, but wouldn't be seen dead in them afterwards.

Are they an exact match for the purple dresses as if not I wouldn't go for them if it were upto me.

Can't believe the same shoes in ivory are £19.99 but those are £31.99!

well i havent got the dresses yet- so i will wait until i have to work out the colours- good point though
its hard with purple as there are so many shades!
