Tie in period for BG Online saver 2?
Before you read the following it’s slightly unethical but I suppose its moneysaving...
Basically had a BG engineer over on Friday to carry out the yearly service on the boiler. Had a quick chat with him about the tariffs and although he didn't know exact details he said if I wanted the cheapest tariff they offer go for the Websaver 8, I told him that I was looking into getting an energy monitor to see if I could be a bit more clued up when wasting electricity. He suggested that I signed up for the Onlinesaver 2 instead of the Websaver 8 get the energy monitor then switch to the Websaver! I was a bit iffy about it and he was like don’t worry they won’t take the thing back, or you could buy it off their website?
Do you think that’s possible? Been looking through the T&C's of the Onlinesaver 2 doesn't show a tie in period.
What do you guys think?

Why go to that trouble just ask them to send you a monitor. You seem to be getting mixed up with "energysmart" and a electric monitor as Energysmart cant be used on Websaver 8 as it is not compatible with monthly billing. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0

There is no tie in period for onlinesaver 2, if you move to the websaver 8 tariff and if you move off the tariff before 1 october 2011 then there will be cancellation fees of £30 per fuel!
You can save more money with the onlinesaver 2 and energysmart as you can track and monitor your usage more easily!0
