South Wales - 3 day trip

Hi Everybody,
Seems like I will be visiting South/Mid Wales around the BH in August and would like some tips.
I have already been to Snowdonia part hence this time I would like to explore some lower parts of Wales. :j
I will be driving up from the South Coast (Littlehampton) and then joining M4.
I would appriciate any help with suggestions for:
- nice B&B's
- places to see along the way
- things to do/see while up there
- nice places to eat while there
I was hoping to do it so while driving up there, stop somewhere along the way and see something, get to the place where we will be staying overnight fairly late - like 21-22.
Go around the Pembrokeshire the following day and see some interesting stuff.
Leave after breakfast and see something while going back home.
According to GoogleMaps the drive to Swansea is about 4 hours so I would like to leave the last 'attraction' so I wouldn't get home later than 21. Got to go to work the next day
So far I know that I would like to see:
1. Pulyn Yr Aleg Castle
2. The Green Bridge
3. Some nice sandy beach...
4. Whiteford Lighthouse or other picturesque one (photooos
)
I would love to stay somewhere close to the coast, so maybe I could try going for a sunrise photo shoot but this isn't a must
Any info would be great!
THANKS!!!

lived in south/mid wales all my life and never heard of them!!!!
beach at amlwch is nice. barafundle bay is only reached by foot but is stunning. Lily ponds at bosherton are nice. pembroke castle is a good afternoon out. oakwood park is open later in summer with fireworks displays around 10pm. st davids catedral provides good photo opps. there's plenty of castles. May be worth stopping off in cardiff to see castell coch on your journey in. or st fagans museum of welsh life.
Not sure about accommadation as we always go home! and camp if it's too far.
remember you have to pay to come to Wales but it's free to go back to England!0 -
Sounds like you have lots of nice things to do. I've also lived here most of my life and not heard of the places you mention .... but will look into them!
I just wondered if you've taken a look at the Visit Wales website: http://www.visitwales.co.uk/regions-of-wales/?DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
Thank you very much for the tips!
This is really what I was hoping for - some nice info from the people who live over there and know those small, almost forgotten places
For everybody's info, these are the things from my list:

For a vast expanse of the most beautiful beach try Whitesands near St. Davids - or Newport Parrog both here in sunny north Pembrokeshire."I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0
