Open University Credit Transfer Query

Hi,
I am thinking of taking a BA in history via OU, but I already have a BSc in Business Information Technology. Obviously the subjects are unrelated, but would there be any way I could transfer even a small amount of credit to the BA? The OU webpage is a bit confusing, but it does say the following relating to Full-rate credit; (I am not sure what they mean by 'skills development'??)
" What do the terms "course-related credit" and "full-rate credit" mean? There are two types of credit transfer: course-related credit and full-rate credit.
Course-related credit can be awarded only if your previous study is considered to be equivalent to (matches by 80%) the level, content, and breadth of a particular OU course/s. Course-related credit is effectively an exemption from that particular OU course or courses towards your chosen OU qualification in recognition of your previous study.
Full-rate credit can be awarded if your previous study is at, or equivalent to, the UK undergraduate level of the OU study concerned, and is considered relevant in terms of subject and/or skills development. Unlike course-related credit, your previous study does not have to match the subject content of any particular OU course, but it does not exempt you from a specific OU course. Full-rate credit exempts you from the specified number of points at the specified academic level towards your chosen OU qualification."
Thanks in advance!!!

As you've already got a BSc I don't see how you can use credits from that to get another degree as you'd be getting two qualifications for one piece of work.
Credit transfers are for when a qualification has not already been awarded i.e. if you pass two years at university but then drop out, you may transfer those credits to the O.U. and top them up to a full degree by doing O.U. credits.
Once you've been awarded a qualification using those credits you cannot use them again to get another qualification.
(I'm sorry if I've misunderstood your post but it appears that you are trying to use credits from a degree already awarded to gain part of another degree which I don't think is allowed)0 -

Actually, I'm afraid you're wrong on that; you can get up to 240 credits for a completed undergraduate degree.

http://www3.open.ac.uk/credit-transfer/academic/inst000131.shtmit just seems wrong to me that you can get two qualifications for the same work
