Who Is Helping You Plan The Wedding?

I'm mostly doing all the arrangements myself and my H2B takes a look at my plans and just tends to agree which is lovely. I just wish my family were more involved, I try to ask for advice and ideas but they are not very forthcoming.

I've tried to get my sister's help as she is my MOH but she is not very interested to the point that she has just announced she is going on holiday for the two weeks immediately before the wedding and this now has an impact on the hen night which she has also said she will not be organising or helping to organise!

I promise i'm not a total bridezilla and I don't go on about my wedding all the time but I am excited and whilst I don't expect everyone to be as excited as me, I do wish sometimes that there was a little more enthusiam and I would love a bit more support!

So after my little rant....who is helping you lovely lot plan the biggest day of your life?

Me and OH. Why should we mither everyone else - it's our wedding? My sister's going on holiday until the day before, too and my Dad and brother don't fly in from Spain until then. Why should it matter? I did my own hen do, too.

Ours is very small scale, so I suppose that helps. Or maybe it's small scale because I don't want to mither other people and would rather do our wedding, for us, ourselves.

Me :) I do consult H2B with everything and he gives his input and we go from there.

MIL2B has also been great, wheras my mum hasn't... (when I showed her my wedding dress she went 'oh, well you got a white one at least. Oh did I tell you what the cat did last week...' MIL2B got all teary, now thats a real response! lol)

I'm doing mine too, and again ask H2B for his opinions on things. He's happy with it like this, I'm happy with like this too!

My family and one of my sister in laws ask me how things are going occasionally, and then I'll tell them what I've bought/ booked, but
I try not to talk about it too much, it's bad enough that I think about it constantly!
I know that if I do it myself, it will be just how I want it. I think other people that know me, know what I'm like and this is
why they leave me to it (I'd only double check what they had done if I asked them to do anything anyway... Miss OCD!)!

Actually, a more fair description is this:
I'm doing all the "pretty" organisations - eg decorations, invites, favour ideas etc
OH is doing all of the "logistics" jobs :D
