in my experience, some buyers seem to prey on sellers who dont send recorded and always go for a chargeback. having seen some people's feedback, they have a long string of feedback replies from sellers saying 'i take back the previous statement - buyer claimed chargeback despite having received the item.'

i had one a while back with a guy in spain. his xbox live gamertag was the same as his ebay name. he bought a game and xbox live subscription for me which both went in the post together to spain. i saw his silver membership go to gold and he started playing the game i'd sold him (you can see in their game history on their profile) and he put in a claim saying it had never arrived and subsequently got a full refund (around £40). i added him to xbox live to ask him why he'd been such a cretin and he just kept sending me messages calling me stupid this, stupid that. saying he'd received the game. paypal and ebay just weren't interested.

Reading this if you think all ebay buyers are out to scam you maybe ebay isn't the place for you. I send nothing below £41 recorded. 100 plus items a month and have had 2 losses in the past year. If your getting more than that I would personally look at your listings and see if the way they are worded etc attracts those sort of customers. Silly terms and conditions denying responsibility for items lost in the post normally attract scammers
