Digital camera, opinions ?

Im looking for a new camera after our samsung digimax died (8mp)

I've found 2 in my price range but im having magpie problems as I like the look of one over the other, as a clueless female they both appear to have the same specs/features,

any opinions on make ? one has AA batteries which we are used to and the other is charged via charger which my OH feels may be a pain if we are out and about and the battery dies.

I have 2 small children and will take around 50-100 pictures a month (more if we have a birthday etc)

Just bought a panasonic lumix dmc-fs10 for £100 very very good for the price, though 2 megapixels below your two and 20 quid more.
