Right confession time...
We've just booked a holiday to Zante. We're leaving on Sunday for a week :T :T
I'm having a real !!!! time of it and NEED to get away and clear my head. We've booked it through last.min.com so it hasn't cost alot and it's a 4 star too. Please don't judge me, but I haven't had a holiday in 2 years and 'oh my gawd' do I need one.
I've got summer clothes that will do me (just a few things from primark will do)
I'm gonna take books with me from the library.
I'm taking the toiletries in the bathroom with me (big saving)
I already have sun lotion etc....
I'm just gonna sunbathe, eat, drink, read, chill and think about my goals. And spend as little as possible.
Has anyone been there before?

I haven't but I'm off to Crete first week of Oct.
We all need to get away from all the things that bring us down. For some that might mean a holiday, for others a walk in the park.
Don't beat yourself up, just enjoy the time away. And you'll feel ready to fight the battle on your return
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
no
but did you book it through quidco - I hope you did!! ( dont punish yourself if not
Ive been looking at flights for weeks now. I am resisting thus far, but it aint easy
Enjoy ! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Yep, if you like the Greek islands then you'll love it. Half board or self catering?0

Yes I've been there, a few years ago it is a great place to chill out. My OH and I went on a last minute holiday as we were supposed to be moving house but it fell through and we really needed to destress. My parents are there at the moment, apparently the temp is about 40 degrees c!! EnjoyDebt Oct 2006 £42,215.21 at highest. Debt Today £0.000

I am going to Malta for a few days next week to chill out!! Staying at a friends apt though so only paid for flights!!
I think its good to get away, you should spend time re-evaluating your situation and then you will come back all stress-free and focused... thats my excuse anyway!!!:DDebt at Highest £3989.04 on 01/09/06:eek:

I've been and it's lovely, crystal waters and sky high temps.
Holidays are good for the soul, and exposure to sunshine increases happy hormones in the body, so no you're not really bad and have a good time !0 -
Wow 40! It's bed and breakfast, seaview balcony, 4 star, quiet, idyllic etc etc... just what I need.....
Thanks guys can't wait now...

Meant to say, the flight times are absolutely dire, so if you have no kids and don't mind flying during the night then there are fantastic bargains to be had.
Lynz I didn't! Not quite got the hang of quidco yet.
To everyone else who's going away - ENJOY!
You've all made me feel better and less guilty. I'm gonna try and spend less than £200 for the week. :T
