£120k for it probably reflects the amount of work required.

Go in with your eyes wide open as to potential costs and let your imagination run wild!

Eyes will be wide open Imagination has already run wild, I was googling New York Loft designs last night and was drooling, I had a quick looksie yesterday and it seems very solid, windows, roof looked in good knick, no obvious signs of water damage etc, and just to clarify it isnt a watermill or one associated with water like cotton, woolen, shoddy and mungo, worsted manufacture and like every property I have bought, Its on a hill, and nowhere near a river, stream or canal.

Also its a small mill on 3 floors around 2500 sqft, not some dark satanic type massive mill.

Setting off in an hour.... I cant wait

Excellent - it's much better to have old properties kept as one than split down to pokey flats; I wish you all the best.

I used to live in Huddersfield, and there are some amazing Victorian Mill owner type detached properties, especially around greenhead park and halifax road.

My mate lived in one when we were growing up and it was such a fabulous space to bring up a large family.

I find it saddening when they split them up.

It maybe that the planning authority would prefer to see the maximum usage of a "brownfield" site rather than new development on a greenfield site and/or there could be a shortage of 1/2 bed accom.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
