Afternoon all!
Went to pick up my sister yesterday so was too busy to post. She's staying with me for the week to give my mum and dad a little break (she has cerebral palsy) and give me a chance to spend some time with her (she lives 250 miles away with them in South Wales).
So this week will be a bit spendy with activities to keep us amused and to give her something to look forward to each day.
Today we have been to the Trafford Centre for a few hours and some lunch (baaad fast food!).
My list....- Helped sis get up and ready
- Walk dog (down to just my dog now) for free exercise in the rain:mad:
- Used a £10 Boots voucher to stock up on essential every day toiletries and used loads of offers - got tons of stuff, only spent £1.50 extra
- Tried to buy a frame for a big wedding photo we've had since the wedding to put on the bedroom wall using a wedding gift card left over at Selfridges - nothing suitable there (all too small) but have you seen the prices on things in that shop!!!!:eek::eek:
- Took cash out for the week
- Had a Spud U Like for lunch - sis had KFC:o
- Went to greengrocers for fruit - not doing a big shop this week due to broken fridge and lots of stuff in the freezer and cupboards - spent £4
- Make curry, rice and naan for tea
- Check banks and rejig budget (very tight this month)
- Check cinema times for tomorrow - Vue cinemas do a "cheap Tuesday" thing, just need to register online first
- Have a little tidy round and sort out the bins
- Put washing away if its dry
- Stay in tonight and watch the soaps
xx0 -
- Check banking - all as expected
- Entered comp - two TV comps free online...see what happens when you have a day off work
- Visit friend who's recovering from an op - lovely to catch up
- Become wedding planning central

- Do a little Hokey Cokey! - 1 load done and 1 load at the launderette
- Water on but not for long! - guess that means I need to do the dishes now!
- [STRIKE]Tea from stores...I will find something, I will find something...[/STRIKE]
- E bay lots of stuff! - checked the completed listing prices for similar jackets and bags - not really worth selling so they're off to the charity shop. Did list some 'spensive foundation that I bought in the wrong shade.
Have got £17 in the penny jar to put towards it and got a voucher for free wine...
Got everything else done on my list, except the wedding planning, which I'm saving for later tonight.
Also sorted through my wool and definitely have enough to start knitting a blanket and cushion cover - just what every yogini needs
0 - Check banking - all as expected

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Fabulous news catmiaow - well done :jJudging by your woo hoo I take it you are pleased to be acccepting it? Brilliant!
Great news about OH Littlekel!
I have also been unexpectedly offered a new role today. It was proposed that I continue to do 4 hours on one project that I work for but transfer my other hours to another site. The new site is right opposite T's school so couldn't be handier, and I can co-ordinate my hours with pick-up and drop-off time. I also walk the school run so wouldn't need to use my car for work anymore. I have been given a few days to think about it, but I would be daft not to really.
I was so disappointed to turn that job down a few weeks ago, so this has cheered me right up.
Same carpy pay though!
Also today I:
1) Worked a half day and utilised my Mum and sister for free child-care.
2) All meals from stores.
3) Took kids to a waterpark for a couple of hours with some friends, for free fun.
4) Researched things to do with Tesco points later in the hols.
5) About to do a mini- shop at Lidl to help avoid Tesco for another week.
6) Checked banking, quidco, did SC etc
7) Signed up for a market research focus group.
Have a lovely evening, L x0 -
