Options
As the title says how many layers in your Lasange ?

I have pasta, meat, white sauce, meat, pasta sauce then cheese. So 3 layers of lasange sheets and 2 layers of meat. When I see pictures with recipes they always have more layers then me but height of lasange is probally the same lol

Well I find more layers better as thicker and my oven dish portions off into 10peices then if thicker.

    Todays lasgane has

    lasagane sheets at bottom
    mince, tomatos andveg layer
    more pasta
white sauce which is actually just creme fraiche with mixed in parmasan
    more pasta
another layer red meat and veg
    more pasta
    another white
    more pasta
    6slices of cooked bacon
    more pasta
3cheses on top chedder, parmasan and mozzarella which melts lovley.

    so total layers
    2red
    2white
    1bacon
    plus booton sheet
    top sheet with cheese.

Planning on trying a roasted veg lasagne tommorow and replacing white sauce with creamy mushrooms and bacon with roasted peppers.

What a useful thread. I'm another one who'll be adding extra layers of pasta next time. Currently I do bol, pasta, cheese sauce, bol, pasta, cheese sauce with xtra cheese sprinkled on top. I prefer cheese sauce to just white.

No help from me, I don't cook it, but I just wanted to say I love the title of this thread, it made me lol! New OS saying for crazy, "there's not enough layers in her lasagne" or "she's a few layers short of a full lasagne" :rotfl: this will keep me going all day!

You made me chuckle yes im lasagne mad.:rotfl:

I think it can be such a faff if done from scratch as I make red sauce and mice takes 2hours, white sauce 15mins and the prep time chopping, cookig lasagne sheets before hand.
I say think big, bigger the better and freezes lovley.

Been eying up huge lasagne dish in asda bigger than mine thinking want to go bigger. trying veg lasagane today for 1st time.
