Does anyone have ICICI hisave and a Lloyds TSB current account?

I am just wondering how long it takes to transfer money from a ICICI Hisave account to a lloyds TSB current account, as they are part of the same organisation (I think) and the ICICI has a lloyds sort code (I think). I was just wondering if it is still 2-3 days or if the transfer would go instantly?

I am with HSBC at the moment, but am considering transferring my current account to Lloyds and was just wondering....

You are correct, in that a bank sort code '30-xx-xx' is indeed indicative of a 'Lloyds TSB' business tie-up, which ICICI do have.

The sort code for ICICI HiSAVE is 30-00-81

Transfers do take about 2-3 days and do not happen 'instantly'.

Transfers from ICICI to the linked cheque-book account are done via [thread=114786]BACS[/thread]. The transfer to TSB takes exactly 2 working days*.

BACS transfers between two banks always take the same number of working days (if the instruction is set up before the sending bank's cut-off time).

*e.g. if sent on Monday it will arrive on Wednesday

Please don't assume that they are "part of the same organisation". It's just that LloydsTSB are doing ICICI's cheque clearing etc. for them as a business arrangement.

HSBC do the same for Schroders Private Bank, for instance.
