Moped insurance prices

Hi,

My OH is thinking of getting a 125cc moped to get to her new job.

Does anybody know how much the average price would be for a 40yr with full UK car licence and CBT and no claims?

I cannot feed the details into an insurer as we don't know what moped yet.

    Try 'Suzuki Burgman 125', 'Yamaha Majesty 125' for a start - should all be pretty similar.

    Note that you won't be able to use car no claims against the scooter - that'll be built up separately.

    You've obviously done your research as you're aware of the need for a CBT - don't forget the cost of helmet, gloves, jacket etc - soon adds up.

    (One thing - 'moped' usually means a 50cc, better to say 'scooter' for a 125 to save confusion).

    a moped is a 50cc motorcycle with a designed speed of 50 kph or 31MPH in old money. what your looking at are scooters.
