new shower door knob hell!

The (back to back) door knob from a sliding shower door fell off the other day making it now very tricky to get in and out. I tried the DIY stores first for a replacement and they didnt have anything, never mind one i liked the look of...
I've found a few online (but not many) and they all seem to mention they are "suitable for toughened glass of 8-10mm thick"
The glass in our 'Matki' shower seems to be only 5mm think so I'm not sure these knobs will work... Anyone know for sure? OR have any better ideas??

i emailed them. heard nothing back at all. but then got a brand new shower door knob in the post today!
