Used car warranty-company disappeared

I bought a used car from a reputable dealer and it came with a 3month guarantee. My hand brake broke and they fixed it no problem. My clutch is now going but the company have upped sticks and disappeared. The garage across from them says this happend over night. Does anyone know if the garage they used are bound to fix it for me or am i on my own?????????

I'm afraid that your agreement was with the Warranty Company and not the garage.

Unlikely they'd pay out for a clutch anyway.

Your clutch will probably not be covered I should imagine, its a wear and tear item and they have clauses so they don't pay out, good luck in getting sorted though.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

There are two types of warranty…..

By the garage which ends if the garage disappears

    or

Insurance backed, this is an insurance policy and will pay out even if the original garage has gone.

And where do warranty companies fit into that?

I’d say “warranty company” means the provider of a third party insurance type warranty so any pay out would not be dependant on the original garage still being in business (as long as they had paid the premium to the warranty company)

If the garage were providing the warranty themselves i.e. any faults go into their workshop and get fixed then if the garage has gone then so has the warranty
