    Its an assumption on experience.

I really hope you don't employ 16 year olds!

    Ummmmmmm y?

Edited to add that I don't hire them but there are 16 year olds who work weekends and whilst they work hard they need to be supervised more, they get distracted from their work more often and generally require more work from the supervisor in getting them to do the jobs

If we pay MPs on productivity they should be paying the country for the negative value they add.

We should pay a higher wage for MP's so we get the better leaders taking these roles up.

Or a much lower wage, so that only the truly dedicated take it up, like nurses.

I'm on £6 odd, so is my partner. We've managed to buy a house, run a car and go on holidays. Not luxury ones, but holidays nontheless! We receive no benefits what so ever. It's all possible. What's your problem?

Not a bad idea that, how about pegging their wage to the UK average (median)?

Mainly because I think it'd be really obvious that you hold them in such low esteem, and I hate the attitude that you can have a person figured out based one aspect of their life, including age. You could have the brightest, hardest working 16 year old for miles around but have already made your mind up that they'll be next to useless.

I've worked with 16 year old volunteers, who freely gave up their time for a decidedly untrendy cause, made a real commitment and and worked their backsides off.

If we're making generalisations based on relatively narrow personal experience, mine is that men in their late twenties to early thirties are lazy, unambitious and self satisfied, they get away with doing the bare minimum but cover it up very well. Of course, my assertion is no more valid than yours in reality.
