I have a phone line supplied by Primus and have Orange broadband running over it without any issues.

The answer is YES The 'switch' over doesnt switch anything at all, just who you pay the bill too. I have Orange BB @ £5/mth and just switched over and its fine. Now if only I can figure out why Im charged £10.12 for my £7.99 a month primus line...................?

The confusion here is that when I call Orange and Primus, they have both told me, on more than one occassion that my free Orange broadband will definitely not work if I was to switch to Primus for my line rental bill.

It would be nice if the MSE team could clarify these details as I would have no come-back if I switched and then could not get my free broadband. The argument "someone I don't know, off the internet told me" might not be sufficient.

Several people have already stated that a Primus line runs on the BT network and is not LLU.

Do you think Orange are going to do something because this website says so?!
It's the poor training of Orange staff that are a root of your problem.
