Hiya all,
I have an HD ready tv with built in freeview.
A friend said i should be able to get some HD channels for free, if so how do i get these?
Tv is a "Technika"

You won't be able to receive HD programs unless the Freeview decoder is HD capable, which it more than likely isn't on your set as you said yourself it is only "HD Ready".Remember kids, it's the volts that jolt and the mills that kill.0

Only a handful of models have Freeview HD built in (some high end Sony models do), plus Freeview HD signals are only broadcast from a small number of transmitters, so it not available everywhere in the country yet.
If you want free to air HDTV, you will need either a freeview HD set top box (and you will need to live in a suitable area - although eventually the technology will be rolled out nationwide), or a Freesat box and dish. Otherwise you will need a subscription to SkyHD or Virgin HD to get HDTV.0 -
i have a freeview HD set (not a Sony
) but theres no Hd broadcasts due here for at least a year (although it does say we should have STV HD but its not on the guide)
so i would check your area before even considering doing anything else
