Kaspersky - need a little help upgrading

I need [STRIKE]a little [/STRIKE] a lot of help with upgrading Kaspersky Internet Security as easily as possible as I don't have much time today (I'll sort out the bells & whistles later). I've got KIS 2009 on 3 computers & have got a great deal on the 2010 version.
1) How do I upgrade to 2010 - can I just enter the code and that's it, or do I need to download the 2010 version online or load the CD? One of laptops does not have a cd drive.
If I just enter the code will it simply extend the license for another year without adding all the new stuff on 2010?
Can I get all the new stuff later on when I've got more time to sort it out & just do the code bit for now?
2) How do I then go about updating for free to the 2011 version?
Do I need to get a full 2010 version working first?
Sorry for all the questions! I'm not very good with computers & the license runs out today  but I do not have much spare time this weekend to sort everything out & just want to do the bare minimum for now and sort out the rest later. Help! Any guidance would be much appreciated.

the great thing about KIS is that licenses work across all their products so you can uninstall the 2009 versions, install the new ones, put the code in and off you go, or if your pressed for time, just put the new code into 2009 and it will carry on as if nothing was wrong.
you can download the latest trial from the net and again use the code you already have to turn it into a a fully fleged copy. perfect for machines with no CD drive0 -

just put the kis 10 code in 09 and that will renew it, as for upgrading i found kis 10 more of a drain on my pc hence stuck with 09 as its more light but its just a matter of using the retain license bit on kis and then installing as normal0

Just install KIS 2011 and it will pick up the serial number/activation code from the 2009 version you have there already, provided the licence has not yet expired. I've just upgraded my KIS 2010 PCs in this way.
My KIS is due to expire in less than a month, so I'm going to get a 3-user licence for KIS 2009 from Amazon (at about £11.32, since you ask), and put in on my three machines, which will make them work for another year as KIS 2011 (and just maybe KIS 2012 for a month or two!).
Why buy 3-user, 1-year, KIS 2010 at about £20 or KIS 2011 at about £38?0 -
you can buy kis 6 licenses for less than £2 and there still valid as well0

I would advise sticking with the 2009 version. The 2010 and 2011 version (recently released) are both slower than the 2009 version.
Kaspersky have taken the 2009 and 2010 versions off the download page so once you un install them you can only get 2011 by default.0 -
mine securty with k ran out whilst i was away and my freind just downloaded the AVG,i hope that its safe and will do the job or do i have to buy another year??????????????????buzzyy0
