Just received delivery of a new fridge freezer a Samsung RL38SCSW. I am sure the top of the fridge is missing? I have tried to contact the company but they are shut for Sunday. Please could someone confirm that the top is missing before I unpack the fridge completely?

Is the top of this fridge totally flat or looks like there is a part missing??
I have just bought this fridge, and I wanted to know if it was normal for this fridge not to have a top. I cannot put anythin on top of the fridge, or have the delivery people taken it with them when unpacking this item!!!!!

    Can anyone shed info????

Our one likewise does not have a top per say, if you actually look at the top, it's got fittiings/holes etc for being located inside a cupboard etc. I would suggest that is the reason for this.
All the bumps on top do make storage difficult (if you can reach that high), but nothing a piece of plywood would not solve if you so did require storage there (and use the fixings on the fridge to bolt the wood down.)

So to answer the question, it's not normal for a fridge to have this missing, but it appears to be for this particular version. The delivery men did not take it away (check the version in store to check if you want)

just went do the local comet to check the display model and I can confirm that there is no top to these models. Very strange
  • I wish that we'd seen the above picture before buying the freezer - Ours had screws missing and lose screws stuck in the plastic parts on the top. My initital thoughts were to blame the delivery team for taking the top away with the packaging. I can not believe that any reputable company would produce such a shoddy item. Very tatty straight out of the box - hugely disappointed...
