Sorry to hear about the pain....have you not got anything to help ease it?I know how hard it is with pain.
You are doing great losing weight as it is so hard for you with your medical problems ...any loss at all is a big achievement...xxxx

As I said on another thread 99.99% of artificial drugs (ie those made by the pharmaecutical companies) give me horrendous side effects and none of the benefits (I am sure you have read the blurb in a pack of drugs and there is that bit about side effects, you know common, frequent, rare, one in a googleplex - well I get 'em all ) paracetamol SOMETIMES will help (tonight is not one of those) and thank you re the weight - I feel I should be losing lots more!

I'm the same as you regarding drugs so know exactly how you feel.,,I have umpteen side effects and anaphylactic shock from many of them and am scared to try anything new for fear of what it will do to me.Luckily, accupuncture seems to be working at the moment for me..how long for is another matter...I do feel your frustration with the pain.

I had forgotten you also had the googleplex effect! My doc has now put a note in my files to say don't try drugs!

Pain management want me to have hydrocortisone injection in my spine but am frightened to have it done in case I'm allergic to it so will probably chicken out of that.Am hoping that eventual loss of nearly 12 stone, exercise, stopping smoking(you'll be surprised at how much the pain has subsided by stopping..maybe coincidence) and natural therapies will keep it at bay..can only try...

I know that natural therapies work for me - just a case of finding a practitioner, they don't tend to be on the NHS around here :o

What about opiates? They're 100% natural and fairly effective for most people.

Taxi, how amazing that you've lost so many sizes! Sorry about the pain, tho, for both you and Dragon :( acupuncture does seem to be effective for that.
