Have had my rads so 12 out of 15 done..just got 3 to go next week...weds,thurs,fri.They seem to have flown by.

So have 4 days of chilling out/pottering now.

Just want to thank you all for all your support all year..it's very much appreciated.Don't know what I'd have done without you lot.
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year xxx

I'm going to DD1s for dinner tomorrow but haven't got out of cooking...I have a joint of beef and joint of pork to cook here....DD2 is making 2 giant apple crumbles later and DD1 is cooking the lamb and all veg etc...so a team effort.
Think there are about 11 of us tomorrow but everyone chips in £10 per adult and the host does the shopping. We also take our own booze. This works out well and nobody is landed with a big bill.
just put the joint of beef in...

Sounds like the perfect way of doing things, will Mr Taxi be able to have a drink or is he still working?

I'm feeling fine off the rads..thanks..just a little pain

Mr Taxi nor I will be having a drink as he's working. The compulsory shifts start tonight so he has no choice. He hasn't been out working as he hates driving in snow. The main roads are fine but the side roads are still really bad and he mostly picks up/drops off on side streets.

Your family have it very well worked out Taxi, thats a good idea all paying £10 each!

DH is providing turkey from one of his shops and brother is supplying veg and wine, sister is providing cheese(????????)

Hope you have a great day and enjoy relaxing!

Thanks you two...I came up with the plan last year as it always falls to me or DD AND it was me or her paying for all food and booze..it amounts to a lot of money..so I thought thiswas a fair way to do it.

When ever we stay at my parents (Christmas or just general), they pay for the roast and veggies, we tend to buy the snack food and beer/wine etc, it more or less evens out (we spend a bit less but as they say we have £40 of petrol on top of everything!)

so much better when costs are shared ..glad other people do it too
  • yes, definately a good plan Taxi - as you say it's unfair for it to all fall to one person isn't it, if you have a large family particularly

I hope that these next few days will give you a chance to spend time with your loved ones, relax, as you say potter, and generally recharge the batteries.

    Oh, and those rads?...

    Four-fifths done!!!!! :D
