Can you make any kind of over payments to the mortgage that will then reduce the interest accruing and maybe save a month or two?

    Hi taxi
sorry i haven't been around. Real life keeps getting in the way of my MSE time.LOL. Really glad that you are nearly at the end of the chemo. It must be so hard to be so tired when there is lots you want to do :(. It would drive me round the twist. I am in awe of your still saving money towards the mortgage even during all of this.

    In my thoughts

Sorry took so long getting back to you.
The car needs a new alternator at just under £800 fitted plus discs and pads are nearly worn out so having them done at the same time as saves taking it off the road again..so a pretty hefty bill coming my way...all tax deductible.
Also needs a couple of new tyres so will get them on the way back from dealers as don't buy them there.

I am usually so on top of the car maintainance but with my illness I've taken my eye off the ball as I haven't even driven the thing and DH is always out working.

I could but it's not worth it.

My mortgage interest rate is only 0.99% and I get 3% on my savings at the moment. So assume it works out better that way.
