Am pleased with myself as have been productive..my house insurance is due for renewal on 16th oct and my quote from the coop was £246.74 but just gone through quidco and have paid £151.49 and will get £20 cashback hopefully with LV...so a great saving.

Thats a brilliant saving, its unbelievable the prices that get quoted, our neighbours facing us, she wrote her car off on Monday, they've been looking around for another, been pricing up insurance online for them, the difference was unbelievable - went via quidco - cashback for them, we did 10 in the end, the cheapest was £518 the dearest was £1333. theyre looking at a different model!! x

I must admit it was very easy this year as compare the market from previous years realised my insurance was due so sent me quotes in an email at random ...i didn't let them identify my computer when I looked at it and LV were the cheapest at £187 odd.So I had a look at quidco to see if they were giving casback and they were £20 so I just did it through them ...the best bit was they asked if we'd got any other insurance with them and we had as our taxi insurance is with them so we got a further discount...so was only £151.49.

It is amazing the difference between different firms though especially on car insurance.

Morning all ...what a very wet day it is today....absolutley bucketting down.

Nothing planned today except fill the car and pottering.

I've just transferred the £95.25 I've saved on the insurance into the savings and updated my sig.
Nothing to report really as going to be a quiet day I feel xxx
    Have a good day everyone.

Great news on the insurance. I should remember to do that this year. Mine is due on Xmas Eve and of course I always forget to compare and then just re-insure with existing.

You should be matching your owing and savings very soon Taxi - well done. It will be great to see your savings being more than you owe - a real psychological boast!

    Enjoy your lazy day!

There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

That'll be great matching as I'll be 50% there..I'd never even looked at it tht way..lol

I always have a quick check through on the house insurance.I can't on the car insurance as its taxi insurance and it's a very complex product.so I leave that in the hands of my broker.
