Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a new electric, single, built under oven. I've found lots of built in ovens. What's the difference if any between built in and built under ovens.
I have an under the worktop housing (or will have when its delivered on Friday.

well built in can be in a tall housing case, under worktop in a smaller housing unit but all are the same width ie 600 its just really personal pref as to which one you want to buy some people dont like to bend down to an oven hence they buy built in and others dont mind so they buy built under and you can fit most ovens into both especially single ovens. hope this helps0

If you have an under worktop housing then you need a BUILT UNDER ovenEat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

thanks but looking at some of them on line, I can't see the difference between the ovens themselves. On many sites, you get lists of built in single ovens or built under doubles not built under singles.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
If you have a built under double oven, then it doesn't go in an oven housing unit. A space is left for it to go in and it sits on legs, then a plinth is run ijn front of the legs so that it looks built in.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Built in require a 600mm oven carcass unit
Built under doubles are 720 in height and do not require a kitchen unit carcass, The oven will be supplied with metal angle brackets that fix to the units either side to support the ovenHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. As per my first post, its a single oven. Like I say, i can't see any difference between single built in and single built under - and some websites only say single built in.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0
