Why not merge them after, say, a month. Or on request sooner.
I find that too. I'll reply to a thread, then it gets merged into another thread I don't normally read (like the grocery challenge thread) so I don't bother trying to follow it as it's all mixed up with everybody elses posts in the larger thread.
Having said that, I can understand why threads such as this one are merged and the mealplan threads aren't usually too long as they only last a week.0 -
Arrghhh...do you know how annoying it is getting when all your posts get moved!?
It might keep them all together but it's bloody annoying wading thru threads to find replies to your own posts!!!!
I'm sure I'm not the only poster on this board that feels that way!Why cant you leave as is!?
Works on other forums on here, you dont see someone on the Digital TV board merging all the topics about cancelling Sky TV for example,do you?...

Another helpful poster has already pointed out the quick way to find your own posts on your other thread so not sure why you are persisting with complaining about how long it takes to find your own posts? It's honestly really quick and it's the way I use to look up threads I've posted on that I can't [STRIKE]be bothered to find[/STRIKE] see
And as for threads being too long and unwieldy - yes they can be a PITA to read but just imagine what helpful advice and suggestions would be missed if things were all left as separate posts.
This is a massive forum and when dealing with such huge volume of posters merging is the only way to go to stop the whole thing being un-navigatable (if that's an actual word and not something I've completely made up)
