    Hi spike,

I've added your post to this weeks mealplans thread where everyone posts their weekly menu plan to keep the plans together. The thread is usually started on a Thursday.

Arrghhh...do you know how annoying it is getting when all your posts get moved!?
It might keep them all together but it's bloody annoying wading thru threads to find replies to your own posts!!!!

I'm sure I'm not the only poster on this board that feels that way!Why cant you leave as is!?

Works on other forums on here, you dont see someone on the Digital TV board merging all the topics about cancelling Sky TV for example,do you?...

    Hi spike.

Fair enough. Despite the fact that there is an existing weekly meal plan thread, it clearly means a great deal to you to have your own personal menu plan thread rather than join in with all the other Old Stylers who post their meal plans in one thread, so I have split your thread from the one I originally added it to. Lets hope everyone else doesn't feel the same way or nobody will ever be able to find any moneysaving advice on the Old Style board. ;)

Regarding 'wading through threads to find your own posts'....at the moment that thread has one page and 13 posts, which I personally find very interesting and helpful. :)

i'm sorry Pink-winged but i agree this should be with the meal planning thread and Spike why do you feel you should have your own personal mealplan thread when everyone else joins in on the existing one. If this was a challenge meal plan then yes it should be on its own but really thats just normal everyday meals no challenge involved, i dont want to start a internet disagreement over this i just want to know why you think that you should be special and not join where everyone else posts theirs.

You know what I got blasted like this once because I posted a post of my own about the new site look, it was nothing at all to with thinking I was special or any other yada, I hadn't seen there was an area where everyone else had posted.......

Hate to say it spike, but if every user of MSE had their own private thread, this site would probably crash out of existence. If you don't want to be part of the community, perhaps a private blog would be the way to go? :D
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

    Hi Blackpool_Saver,

I hope it wasn't me who 'blasted' you. :o Spike didn't get blasted...his mealplan thread was moved to join the existing mealplan thread (and has subsequently been separated again). He posted into the thread and also started another thread to express his displeasure, which is what has caused the debate.

Blasted was too strong a word really, sorry for that. No it wasn't you.

I was just thinking out loud really and it wasn't my business anyway....

I'm reading this one, good menu plan, but I'd never read a bigger/merged thread because it's all so big and complex and confusing ... without continuity. So I don't go into the merged threads.

Why not merge them after, say, a month. Or on request sooner.
