These are very expensive areas though and that's why they cost a lot of money. I've worked in the Purley and Reigate area and they are fantastic. That ice cream house in Southgate looks small in comparison to the rest but again it's an expensive are.

I think north London is even more expensive than the south and Surrey by the look of those houses? Wouldn't turn my nose up at any of 'em though. lol I wouldn't mind just a room in onbe of them. haha

My housemate is working on a smallish block of flats in a nice area of London.

It's gated but has a CCTV camera that reads the number plates of cars, it recognises the reg of each flat owners car and opens the gate for them. It then lights the driveway for them. Each flat has it's own garage, when the camera recognises the car reg, it lights up the correct route to the garage for that car, opens the garage door and switches the light on in the garage

I'd like that. I'll remember that .... I got as far as a light that came on when my car approached, an electric garage door and automatic lights that switched on when I drove into the garage. People thought I was mad, but it's what I wanted! It was up a bit of a dodgy/pitch dark lane where scallies had been known to lurk - and there were a multitude of hiding spaces, so I figured I'd need to do that as a lone female arriving home alone, late at night.

That sounds very James Bond. Of course, with technology today almost anything is possible.

It would be great if the garage housed a private lift straight to your apartment too.

DrGloom is nuts, Lizzie. And the full moon aggravates his condition. He thinks everyone does what he oes - posts under hundreds of usernames................he's totally barking and he's also a stalker. I've reported him for abuse and stalking. He's a weirdo. He follows me around on here. Sad man.
