Lovefilm

Hi all,

Anyone had any unsolicited dvds from lovefilm. I have just had one delivered today. I have never signed up on this site or asked for any dvd from any other source. Howeveer they seem to have my name address and postcode.

Should I just send it back, hold onto it or contact them directly?

ive had junk mail from them but never an actual dvd if it doesnt cost too much id send it back incase they invoice you for it at a later date and id also put in a letter stating that you never gave them your details and to take your name and addie off their data base and send the package recorded so you have proof of posting hope this helps
  • Phoned them today, glad i did. They had my name, address and card details. So card duly cancelled. Not sure where the fraudster would benefit as the DVD was sent to me.

If it was indeed fraudulent it's probably a test transaction by the fraudster to see if the card is active. Or some companies will only send stuff to a different address to the address matching the card if a transaction has already been made. I've had fraudulent activities on a debit card in the past..few hundred quid i think that very nearly made me go overdrawn ..but bank sorted me out, gave my money back and gave me a new card with different number.
